Cost guide

What Should It Cost to Keep Your Google Listing Current?

The right price depends on whether you need a one-off fix, ongoing help or a full marketing service. A small local business should not have to buy a large agency package just to stop its Google listing going stale.

DIY can cost £0 in fees, but it still uses your time

If you are comfortable updating the listing yourself, Google does not charge you simply to manage your own Business Profile. The real cost is the recurring admin: checking details, choosing photos, writing useful updates and remembering to do it.

For some owners that is completely reasonable. If you already have a routine that works, you may not need ongoing help.

02

A one-off review makes sense when you are not sure what is wrong

Paying for a clear review can be better value than starting a monthly service without understanding the problem. Digital Cove currently offers a human-reviewed Google audit at £11 and a done-for-you setup or refresh at £49.

The £49 option includes the audit, so you are paying for the review plus help handling agreed profile changes.

03

Ongoing support is for the recurring job

MapRank is £30/month for one Google Business Profile. It is deliberately focused on turning real business activity into approval-ready Google content and helping keep the listing current.

It is not a full website, advertising and SEO agency retainer. That is why comparing it directly with a large managed marketing package can be misleading: they are different products solving different-sized problems.

04

Choose based on the problem, not the biggest package

If the listing is already healthy and you keep it current yourself, spend nothing. If you need to understand the gaps, start with the audit. If it needs a one-off tidy-up, use the refresh. If the recurring admin is the problem, ongoing support may make sense.
