Start by searching for the business as a customer would
Use the business name first, then try the type of service and town if appropriate. The point is not to prove a ranking position from one device. It is to look at the public information that appears.
Check these five things
If any of these are wrong or unclear, fix the factual problem before worrying about more advanced marketing work.
- Is the phone number correct and easy to use?
- Are opening hours and any special hours accurate?
- Does the listing clearly explain the services you actually offer?
- Do the photos still represent the business as it looks now?
- Is the route to call, book, enquire, order or visit obvious?
Then look at the reviews and recent proof
You do not need a perfect rating. You do need the listing to feel like a real, active business that customers can understand.
Look for obvious gaps: no recent images, unanswered factual questions, old service information or reviews mentioning something that has since changed.

Digital Cove’s free Google check looks at public profile basics and nearby context where available. It is designed as a starting point, not a made-up “Google ranking score”.
